"The World's Largest Indoor Picnic"

In the fall of 2009, 15 brothers from UMD travelled to Silver Spring, MD to participate in "The World's Largest Indoor Picnic." The event is sponsored by A Wider Circle, a non-profit organization that provides goods and services to those in dire financial situations. At the event, brothers played video games with the children, supervised the moon bounce activities and sold food.

JSAC Snack Pack Attack

Brothers teamed up with the Jewish Social Action Committee to make over 700 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as well as snack bags for DC homeless shelters

Canned Food Drives

Every semester, the brothers of Phi Gamma Delta hold a on campus canned food drive and collect an average of over 500 lbs of food for donation from students and faculty



College Park Cleanup

Brothers volunteered to clean up a neighborhood park, Metro Side Gardens, in an effort to make it cleaner and safer for the communities children



Clothing Drive

Brothers donated and collected over 150 lbs of clothing for Salvation Army.
